When we started the hike Saturday morning just after 6.30am it was cool and halfway up Bloupunt peak we got a smattering of rain, and the wind was quite chilly.
I pulled on my poncho because there was a big grey cloud on the horizon towards Robertson. I’m no weatherman but I was not going to get soaked. This is why we carry rain gear.
But around noon it got very hot as the grey clouds were chased away by their fat cumulonimbus cousins.
