Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Düsternbrook → Otjiseva Camp (~15 km)
Start from the historic Düsternbrook Guest Farm, trekking through hills and dry grassland. The trail gradually climbs, revealing mountain views and glimpses of game.
Camp Features: Simple kraal, water tank, fireplace, flush toilet
🏡 Day 2: Otjiseva → Onduno Camp (~9 km)
A shorter day, perfect for recovering and soaking in the landscape. This section passes through kloofs, plains and rocky outcrops with plenty of rest spots.

🏡 Day 3: Onduno → Godeis Camp (~23 km)
The toughest day with the longest distance. Expect dry riverbeds, sharp escarpment views, and lots of sunshine. Arrive at the scenic Godeis Farm for a well-earned rest.

🏡 Day 4: Godeis → Onduno (~15 km)
Retrace your route back to Onduno. The return journey reveals new light, wildlife, and photo angles.

🏡 Day 5: Onduno → Monte Christo Safari Tents (~18 km)
While the famed treehouse is currently out of commission, safari tents with stretchers have been set up in a peaceful clearing.

🏡 Day 6: Monte Christo → Düsternbrook (~15 km)
Your final push brings the loop full circle. Flat terrain leads you back to the Düsternbrook farmhouse for a celebratory cold drink.

Pro-Tips

Wear long gaiters: This is thorn country. Speargrass and scratchy shrubs can tear your socks and skin. Gaiters are a must!

Hire your tent and/or mattress: Many of the farms offer gear rental (tent, mattress, etc.). Lighten your pack!
